Congratulations Dr Mike Baker! 

ABC and TRG Imaging’s very own Clinical Radiologist, Dr Mike Baker has been made a life member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) at the Annual Scientific Meeting in Adelaide. This is in recognition of service to the College and the profession and is a fantastic accolade highlighting his skill, dedication and unquestionable professionalism. 

After qualifying in medicine at the University of Rhodesia and obtaining the Scottish Triple qualification, Dr Baker then spent his pre-registration years in New Zealand.  He joined the radiology registrar training scheme in Auckland in 1983 and went on to work at North Shore Hospital before entering private practice.  

Mike was instrumental in the creation of both Auckland Breast Centre and TRG Imaging with additional highlights including, the establishment of the NZ Radiology Trust, registrar education and being Chair of the Radiologist Professional Advisory Committee for IANZ, NZ's accreditation authority. 

We are really proud of all he has achieved during his career.  His focus has always been education and service delivery with a particular passion for a seamless experience for patients from diagnosis through to treatment.  This award is a testament to his commitment to his patients and profession.
