Canopy Healthcare Achieves Toitū Carbonreduce Certification
We’re proud to share that Canopy Healthcare has received Toitū carbonreduce certification. This a major milestone in our sustainability journey and one that we are all very proud of. This achievement follows a concerted effort by the sustainability team in compiling extensive groupwide data and undergoing a rigorous audit process. We join a growing network of Toitū Accredited organisations which number more than 600 members worldwide including Ricoh, AIA, ACC, EMA, Ecotricity, KPMG, Fonterra and many others who all committed to reducing their environmental impact.
A Commitment We Made and Kept
Late last year, we announced our intention to improve our practices when it comes to sustainability. With the full support of our Canopy Healthcare Board and owners ICG, we began working toward Toitū carbonreduce certification. We are very proud to have achieved this standard.
What Does This Certification Mean?
Being Toitū carbonreduce certified means we are:
- Measuring our carbon emissions across all areas of our operations
- Working on Initiatives for reducing our footprint in line with international best practices
- Committing to transparency and accountability in our sustainability efforts
This isn’t just a tick-the-box exercise. It’s a long-term commitment to doing better for our people, our patients, and our planet.
Why It Matters
New Zealanders and global providers increasingly want to work for, and engage with, organisations that care about the environment. As a forward-thinking healthcare provider, we know that sustainability is no longer just a “nice to have”. From staff and patient engagement to executive leadership and board-level governance, sustainability is now being embedded in how we plan, operate, and grow.
Congratulations to all involved and thank you for your ongoing support.
