$4m Diagnostic Clinic Upgrade Sets New Standard of Healthcare for the Lakes Region
TRG Imaging Rotorua has just finished a $4m upgrade to its medical imaging clinic, including the installation of a new state-of-the-art 3Tesla medical resonance imaging (3T MRI) machine, the most advanced MRI technology available in New Zealand.
TRG Imaging Rotorua has just finished a $4m upgrade to its medical imaging clinic, including the installation of a new state-of-the-art 3Tesla medical resonance imaging (3T MRI) machine, the most advanced MRI technology available in New Zealand.
TRG Imaging Rotorua service manager Debbie Cartwright says the investment in the clinic and scanning equipment, including a new CT scanner early next year, is a game changer for the Te Whatu Ora Lakes Region.
“We are really excited to be able to expand our diagnostic imaging services and bring this world-leading technology to the region to meet the growing healthcare needs of our community.
“Improving health outcomes for our patients is incredibly important to the whole TRG team. This new machine gives doctors more detailed imagery resulting in faster and more accurate reporting which ultimately leads to a better patient experience.
“Importantly, because this machine is now in Rotorua, patients will no longer need to travel long distances and with a bigger open bore size, the whole MRI experience is made a lot more comfortable, especially for patients who suffer from claustrophobia.
“The 3T machine is ideal for imaging small bones, vascular, breast and musculoskeletal tissues, as well as neurological MRIs. Ultimately, this new MRI machine provides superior imaging and shortened scan times,” said Mrs Cartwright.
TRG Imaging, which is part of the Canopy Healthcare Group, has been setting the standard in medical imaging in New Zealand for over 40 years. Their recent investment in staff, new equipment, and facilities in Rotorua has set a whole new standard of care for the region.
