Dr Deverall finished her specialty training in 2012 and started work at Lakes DHB as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist. Her specialty interest is high-risk obstetrics, and with the DDU she established an obstetric ultrasound clinic and an amniocentesis clinic for the hospital. She is an active member of the Carosika community, a team of whanau, health care providers, and researchers working together to reduce the impact of preterm birth. 

She joined Canopy imaging in 2025 to spend more time with her husband and young son, but remains engaged at the hospital with high-risk services.
