About
Dr Chris Bowles graduated from St Georges Hospital Medical School in 2005. After training and working as a Medical Officer in the British Army, including surgical training and operational deployment to Iraq, Chris completed specialist radiology training in 2016.

Chris first worked as a Consultant Radiologist at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, UK, with particular interests in Head and Neck imaging and Oncology imaging. While there, he was joint radiology lead for Head and Neck/Thyroid cancer multidisciplinary meetings (MDMs), and Lymphoma/Haematology Oncology MDMs. Chris also had a strong interest in training, leading the Head and Neck Radiology training program for Wessex Deanery.

Chris moved to New Zealand in late 2019, and now combines an appointment at Whangarei Hospital with his work at Canopy Imaging, having spent several years as Clinical Director at Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau / Northland DHB. Chris maintains close links with the otolaryngology and General Surgical Services in Whangarei.

Chris enjoys time with his wife and two children tramping, camping, and travelling.
