About
After attaining my bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery in South Africa, I gravitated towards medical imaging as a speciality since I found the ability to non-invasively assess and diagnose with a high degree of accuracy very appealing. I also had prior research experience in radiology and knew that the field would develop, improve and change over time, which would keep it relevant and interesting.
Within the field of radiology, my interests include general body imaging (chest/abdomen), neuroimaging and oncologic imaging with continued enjoyment of radiography and ultrasound.
I supplement the diagnostic aspect of imaging with involvement in outpatient interventional procedures, mainly superficial biopsies such as thyroid nodules and lymph nodes.
In my free time I am passionate about nature, collect rare and strange plants and love a hike
